Abbey Gelmi and Georgie Tunny are two good sports

Sporting journalists Abbey Gelmi and Georgie Tunny have announced a new podcast, Two Good Sports, telling the stories behind the biggest sports headlines every Tuesday.

With ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia, Two Good Sports bridges the gap between the action on the field and the stories behind the scenes.

Abbey Gelmi is a television sports presenter and journalist with Seven News, Melbourne. Georgie Tunny started her journalism career with the ABC where she was part of News Breakfast as sports presenter, weather presenter and co-host. She is currently a full-time journalist and co-host of The Project on Network 10.

Stephanie Coombes, ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Content Director said:

“This is the sports podcast I’ve been waiting to hear. Abbey and Georgie breakdown the biggest stories, but in a way which is fun and approachable. It’s a great explainer with quite a few laugh-out-loud moments”.

Abbey Gelmi said:

“Two Good Sports is a weekly catch-up with two sports nerds who love nothing more than unpacking the biggest and sometimes ridiculous back page headlines. It’s fun, its news, it’s the conversations we couldn’t find on other sports podcasts – so we made our own. George and I have been having these chats for years as mates, only now it’s over microphones not lattes. Couldn’t be more pumped for others to join in!”

Georgie Tunny said:

“I have loved sport my whole life but haven’t felt like there’s ever been content tailor-made for me – women’s voices, women’s opinions, women’s analysis! People who are sport fans (men’s and women’s codes) but also love the drama of it all. Abs and I have these deep dives among ourselves daily, we can’t wait for you to join the conversation!”

Two Good Sports is out now wherever you get your podcasts.
