Amelia Chappelow returns to Australia with MIK

Amelia Chappelow has returned to Australia for a role as Head of Content and Podcast Executive Producer at MIK Studio.

The award winning transdisciplinary executive producer & showrunner was one of radio’s first online producers at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), recognised for innovative audience engagement winning radio awards for Emergency Broadcast Coverage & Reporting for online and on air. Amelia has worked across daily news, music & lifestyle shows with ABC Melbourne, ABC Gippsland and triple j, launched digital streams of triple j unearthed and Double J and created the Like a Version podcast.

The co-creator for feature film documentary China Love about China’s pre-wedding photography obsession now screening on Netflix, Amelia also was a pioneer in the creation of audio-documentaries with the Spotify #1 Podcast Who is Daniel Johns?, MIK’s first of that type.

In the US Amelia worked for Earwolf at Sirius XM as showrunner and Executive Producer for global podcasts such as Storytime with Seth Rogen, Bitch Sesh with Casey Rose Wilson & Danielle Schneider, I Weigh with Jameela Jamil, Scam Goddess with Laci Mosley and TV, I Say w/ Ashley Ray. She was also the co-creator of the multi-award winning indie podcast Linda Marigliano’s Tough Love.

Amelia champions diverse voices & women’s untold stories with a full circle moment coming in a new podcast being released on Monday September 15.
