Centennial World launches podcast network and new show dishing the celeb beef

Gen Z publisher Centennial World has created a home for the celebrity beef, High Steaks, a podcast cutting through the ‘famous feuds, frenemies and falling outs’ that have shaped celebrity and internet culture. The new release joins the existing infinite scroll, mini scroll, and mini tech scroll and marks the launch of the Centennial World Podcast Network.

High Steaks, hosted by Sydney-based journalists Laura Masia and Madison Bogisch (main image) will examine celebrity conflicts that keep us searching for more, from the explosive fall out of podcasting it-girls, the media hyped beef between former child stars and the two billionaires who felt they needed to come to blows in the Colosseum.

Madison Bogisch said:

“We live for other people’s drama – and having a little giggle about it. The beef we’re covering is messy and often relatable because, honestly celebrities are just like us.”

Laura Masia added:

“As an entertainment reporter for the last several years, I like to think my unofficial job title is ‘professional gossip’. Now, I’m delighted that my penchant for tidbits, rumours and petty squabbles can come in handy, and might be of interest to a whole new group of chronically-online pals.”

Lauren Meisner

Centennial World is a Sydney based, award-winning and independent Gen Z media brand founded by Lauren Meisner just prior to the pandemic five years ago. Covering internet culture, the creator economy, and social media trends the company publishes across podcasts, YouTube, TikTok, and a newsletter. With the success of infinite scroll, the brand now reaches millions of young people around the world every month as well as providing advertising and consulting services to brands looking to reach Gen Z.

Centennial World Founder Lauren Meisner said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome High Steaks into the Centennial World fold. Last year we saw 450% audience growth across our existing podcasts, so the timing felt right to expand the business and launch our network. As a chatty show between two pop culture-obsessed friends, High Steaks will complement our existing video essays and internet culture news podcasts while feeding into Gen Z’s penchant for nostalgia.”

This is the second podcast company launch from high profile Australian business women, after Poppy Reid launched Curious Media on March 3.

Geared towards Gen Z listeners, High Steaks will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube with the first
two episodes out on Thursday March 27 2025, and weekly thereafter.
