Mel Robbins No 1, Stalked debuts in the top 10 – Australian Podcast Ranker

Mel Robbins is again top of the Triton Australian Australian Podcast Ranker, as she has been all this year. The Hamish and Andy podcast returned for 2025 in March, releasing 4 new episodes, but it wasn’t enough to usurp Mel, or ABC News Top Stories, both of which had more than a million monthly listeners and the Mel Robbins podcast nearly 3.5 million downloads.

There was a new debut in the top 10 with true crime series Stalked (pictured), from BBC Studios and represented locally by iHeart jumping 67 places to #8 overall and Australia’s #1 true crime podcast. Stalked shares the real-life ordeal of 25-year-old Hannah Mossman Moore. After being digitally hunted by an anonymous intruder who weaponised her personal data, Hannah teams up with investigative journalist Carole Cadwalladr, her former stepmother, and together they unravel a global web of deception that law enforcement failed to stop.

Louise La Grange, BBC Studios’ SVP, BBC Audio, Digital News & Streaming, said of the podcast:

“We are delighted to see BBC Studios’ produced podcast Stalked connect so deeply with Australian audiences. It is an affecting example of how BBC Audio’s groundbreaking storytelling can start conversations and strongly engage listeners. It is a further example of our successful ongoing partnership with iHeart to bring these important stories to listeners in Australia.”

ARN’s iHeart was #1 Podcast Publisher for the 59th consecutive time, reaching a record 7.8 million listeners (+9%) and 24.7 million downloads (+10%). This marks the biggest audience ever for the network.

It was a record month too for SCA and LiSTNR with Grant Tothill, SCA’s Executive Head LiSTNR Audience and Growth, saying:

The March Triton Top 200 Australian Podcast Ranker has set new records for LiSTNR.

Firstly, LiSTNR retained its position as the number one Sales Representation Network, with 9,353,203 monthly listeners — the highest audience ever recorded on the Australian Ranker. This result underscores LiSTNR’s continued leadership in the commercial podcast marketplace, driven by its strategic investment into known audiences and advanced AdTech solutions, which currently account for 60% of all podcast advertising campaigns.

Secondly, The Mel Robbins Podcast — published by SiriusXM in the US and represented by LiSTNR in Australia — was again the number one podcast, with 1,865,687 monthly listeners. This eclipsed last month’s audience and set a new single podcast listening benchmark on the Australian Ranker.”

Kyle and Jackie O were still the highest radio catch up podcast but dropped out of the top 10 to #14. Hedley Thomas‘s true crime exploration Bronwyn, for which he has done a series of live shows in March, was up 12 places to #13. SCA LiSTNR’s Dan Does Footy was the highest ranked of the sports podcasts, up an enormous 68 places to #17.
