New podcast Off Mic shows there’s life after radio

After creating his own significant life after radio Andy Maher, formerly of ARN, SCA, Nova, Nine, ABC, Channel [V], SBS Radio and, in Canada, NewCap Radio in Calgary, has launched a new podcast Off Mic: Life After Radio featuring former radio aces now thriving in other careers.

The podcast highlights how very transferable broadcast, production, voice and engineering skills are, with Andy saying:

“In a time of uncertainty in traditional media, I want this podcast and the stories we tell to be a light in the fog for people who don’t know where to go.”

The podcast has launched with two episodes featuring an announcer turned best-selling author, and a program director turned marketing executive. New episodes will be released every second Thursday with a filmmaker, a government communications director and a corporate videographer, all loving their career ‘pivot’, still to come.

Andy himself now provides editing, mixing and guidance to fellow podcasters.

Off Mic: Life After Radio is available on all major podcast platforms, including Spotify and Apple Podcasts, plus as a full video version on YouTube. You can get in touch with Andy via [email protected]
