Australian Audiocraft podcast Nocturnal Worlds are a Silver Winner in Sustainability, Environment, & Climate at The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards.
The winners were selected from over 2,000 submissions from 44 countries by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).
Audiocraft paired with the Australian Museum (AM) to create Nocturnal Worlds: journeys through nature for sleep and relaxation. Each episode explores the hidden lives and nocturnal behaviours of three very different Australian animals – the Powerful Owl, the Red-Crowned Toadlet, and the Long-finned Eel.
Kate Montague, Audiocraft CEO said:
“Nocturnal Worlds has been such a dreamy project for Audiocraft. It’s not every day you get to tramp through a national park at twilight looking for frogs or drop a hydrophone mic into the ocean to listen for whales. It’s projects like this one that really fill our creative cup… and fill our brain with facts about the mysterious mating rituals of eels! That’s the sweet spot for us – where creative storytelling and immersive sound design meet. The result is a project that we’re super proud of and we can’t wait for listeners to dive in, listen deeply, unwind and reconnect with the marvels of nature.”
The Anthem Awards support impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities. A portion of program revenue is allocated to the Anthem Award’s grant program, The Anthem Fund. This year the Anthem Fund partnered with Billion Oyster Project to support their work to restore and conserve New York’s waterways.
