After wrapping up their KIIS Network radio show together each day, most afternoons on the way home Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw will still call each other to further shoot the breeze. Now they are using those many off air moments to tackle some of life’s biggest questions in their brand-new podcast We’ll Get to That.
A show all about the journey and not the destination, each episode sees Will or Woody ask a deep and important question to the other which they will explore and (mainly Will here) work towards an answer around Woody’s never-ending sea of tangents and subplots.
‘What is the biggest lie you tell yourself?’, ‘Does being ambitious make you a dick?’ and ‘What is your relationship with time?’ are some of the questions posed in season 1 with the first episode a discussion on ‘Why is it so hard to take a day off work?’ after Will took a mental health day from their national radio show.
Woody said:
“After 10 years of calling each other on the way home, we’ve made the decision to start recording these chats and calling it a podcast. We’ll let you decide if maybe we should’ve kept these chats private.”
Will added:
“We love getting deep with each other and talking about things that, these days, “men shouldn’t”. So that’s what we set out to do, and in a lot of ways we have, but naturally it gets a bit silly. Woody was so pumped about the first ep that he went and got the worst tattoo I’ve ever seen. If you see him, get him to show you.”
The first two episodes of We’ll Get to That are available now on the free iHeart app or wherever you get your podcasts, with new episodes every Tuesday.
