Tony Armstrong heads straight to The Pool Room for a third season

ARN iHeart‘s The Pool Room with Tony Armstrong is back for a third season and with the 2024 Paris Olympics having commenced, Armstrong will share some of the most notorious and unbelievable stories from the games in years gone by.

The in demand Tony Armstrong is everywhere at present. He recently launched two new shows on the ABC; Tony Armstrong’s Extra-Ordinary Things and Monday Experts with Catherine Murphy. He is currently up for the TV Week Gold  Logie Award, last year he took home the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter, and in 2022, the Graham Kennedy Award for most popular new talent. Armstrong is the sports presenter on ABC News Breakfast and a regular on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering. A proud Gamilaroi man, he was drafted after finishing school to the Adelaide Crows in the AFL before moving to the Sydney Swans and playing alongside his childhood hero Adam Goodes. Armstrong finished his career in Melbourne with Collingwood.

Alongside this sporting podcast in 2019 Tony became the first Indigenous person to call live action Aussie Rules on SCA’s Triple M Footy. He’s also appeared on the Marngrook Footy Show and hosted football chat show Yokayi Footy, co-produced by the AFL and NITV.
