I am sitting here with tears pouring down my cheeks - so shocked and saddened to read this news.
I never met Sammy in person, but knew her firstly through our many exchanges of emails and later as friends on Facebook. She was one of the first people to send me loving messages of support when my parents died and was unfailingly cheerful and supportive. She will leave a huge hole in the lives of many, many people. I will miss you Sammy, may you rest in peace and leave happy memories with your extensive radio family and friends.

This is sad news for people everywhere. I kind of grew up listening to Sammy. She was a hit with my family at breakfast on KROQ(now triple m gold coast), and later at triple m brisbane. I also caught snippets of her with Doug Mulray and later on mix 1065. She was always lovely and hilarious and will be missed by many.
She also did breakfast with Doug Mulray on Triple M before she moved to Mix when Doug left for the last time.
RIP Sammy.....
I only knew you for a short time, but it was fun and Life was good. Clearly life was not easy for you, But know that everyone who knew you well, their life was a little more easier and brighter because of your warmth, your infectious laughter and joy you brought with you every where. You and your talents were unique. And our world is a lot sadder for you not being with us. R.I.P lovely Sammy.
