Standards of decency breached in tirade

A top-rating Adelaide radio presenter, who said asylum-seekers should drown before launching a "coarse, demeaning, sustained and deeply personal verbal attack" on a female journalist, has been found guilty of breaching standards of decency by the media watchdog. Bob Francis had on June 4 last year told listeners on FIVEaa: "Bugger the boatpeople, I say. As far as I’m concerned, I hope they bloody drown out there on their way over here – in my opinion they are not welcome here."
