Hamish & Andy on top, Bronwyn debuts at #5 – Australian Podcast Ranker

June’s Triton Australian Podcast Ranker has Hamish & Andy at No 1 and considerable evidence of our love of the true crime and investigative genre.

Casefile True Crime remained #2, Hedley Thomas and The Australian‘s Bronwyn debuted at #5, Gary Jubelin’s I Catch Killers was up 3 to #27 and Nine Radio’s Trial By Water also debuted and their The Missing Camper’s Trial was also a big mover, up 30 to #35.

Sports podcasts did well with an expectation that next month’s Ranker, which will incorporate some of the Olympics will see even greater listening.

Matty John‘s podcast with his son Cooper debuted at #61, five ahead of Matty’s solo podcast. AFL playing twins Ben and Harry McKay‘s podcast together also debuted.

LiSTNR was the No 1 sales representation network for a 22nd time. They had 63 podcasts in the top 200 including Hamish & Andy and Abbie Chatfield‘s It’s a Lot which had its largest monthly audience since launching.

ARN iHeart was the No 1 podcast publisher for a 50th time. They represent four of the top ten (Casefile True Crime #2, The Imperfects #8, The Kyle & Jackie O Show #9 but #1 in radio catch up podcasts & Life Uncut with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne at #10.

Their highest debut, ahead of Backstage with Cooper & Matty Johns was Malevolent Mischief: True Stories of Horror at #59.

For a second month all of the top 10 are Australian podcasts with just Stuff You Should Know and Crime Junkie (#13 and 17 respectively) overseas representation in the top 20.
