The community broadcasting sector has lost one of its long term technical experts.
Dan Callaghan passed away from cancer last week.
A memorial service for Dan will be held on:

Dan began his radio career as Production Coordinator at 4ZZZ in Brisbane in 2007.
Moving to the CBAA in 2011, Dan took on the role of technical coordinator for CNR, then later move4d to then role of Technical Delivery Lead,
In 2023 he was promoted to the role of Infrastructure and Technology Manager.
Paying tribute to Dan, the CBAA’s Jon Bissett said:
“The community radio sector is powered by people. Behind the on-air voices and sounds, beyond the magic of the technology, there are passionate people making it all work. Dan’s passion, hard work and round-the-clock commitment to the sector was critical for sharing the best community radio programming with listeners across the country.”
Dan is survived by his partner Emma and son Kieran.
