Popular ABC Sport presenter Andrew Moore is recovering after a heart attack.

Andrew has broadcast sport on commercial stations and for the ABC for 25 years and is the host of ABC Grandstand’s NRL coverage.

Tonight’s NRL match between Penrith and Melbourne is being helmed by Brett Sprigg with Sprigg sharing the news that Moore had undergone surgery. He said:

“He actually sent us a message, his ABC rugby league colleagues, just this afternoon and he’s a bit knocked around, but in good spirits.

I know, trust me, how much he hates missing the footy.”
