Audiocraft launches its third season of its award-winning podcast Nocturnal Worlds: journeys through nature for sleep and relaxation via a synchronised audio experience at SXSW Sydney 2025 called the Nocturnal Worlds Virtual Sound Bath.
The experience is a creative collaboration between Audiocraft, Project Restore based at Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS), and tech innovation company Pladia. The Nocturnal Worlds Virtual Sound Bath is designed as a shared listening experience, inviting people to disconnect from the pace of the conference to journey together into the soothing, sound-rich worlds of the the blue groper and crayweed, who both feature in episodes of the brand new season created with SIMS.

“We first launched the Nocturnal Worlds Sound Bath as an in-person experience at SXSW Sydney in 2024. Designed as a sensory refuge from the hustle and bustle of conference time, it offered audiences the chance to step out of the noise and into a calm, shared space where they could reconnect with nature through immersive storytelling and sound design. This year, we’re expanding the experience beyond the walls of a single session, offering a series of virtual sound baths that festival-goers can join from anywhere on-site—or even beyond.
