No, Kyle and Jackie are not going back to 2Day breakfast… well, not yet anyway (rumour mill trigger).

In a humourous twist on the slow, drawn out, Kyle & Jackie O story, last night on Australian Idol, Kyle injected some humour into the saga, saying he was dressed up for a job interview.

Asked by Idol host and rival Nova breakfast presenter Ricki-Lee about the vote, Kyle had this exchange:

Ricki: Now Kyle, we see on social media, people sharing their thoughts on our idols, but tonight it’s the vote that truely matters. Are you excited to see what the Australian public has decided?

Kyle: Yes, today Ricki, I’ve got nothing else on my mind except for the excitement of the vote.

He then went on to say:

I also am dressed like this because I have a job interview at Lowes after the show… for radio guys, once you’re out of radio all you can do is sell sox at Lowes.

Followed by a spontaneous live read of the low cost clothing store’s tag line:

At Lowes, we’ll save ya!
