ABC Perth is opening its doors on Saturday April 18, offering listeners behind‑the‑scenes tours of the studios, meet and greets with the presenters and a chance to see how the magic actually happens.
The activities across the day includes:
• Meet 102.5FM presenters Oliver Peterson from 9am-12pm, Mark Gibson from 12-1pm and Jo Trilling between 1-3pm showing you around the radio studios.
•ABC Perth News presenters will show you around the news room – Pamela Medlen from 9-11am, Charlotte Hamlyn 11am-1pm, Tom Wildie 11am-1pm and Tabarak Al Jrood from 1-3pm.
• Meet ABC News Breakfast presenters Emma Rebellato and James Glenday in our newsroom between 9-11am.
• Radio legend Zan Rowe will chat to Oliver Peterson at 1pm.
Additionally:
- ABC Canberra breakfast host Ross Solly meets Mark Gibson at 11am and 2pm.
- Award winning blues, jazz and rock and roll pianist Louis Rebeiro performs and meets Jo Trilling for a chat about his time on Season 2 of The Piano at 12pm.
- Jump on a guided studio tour and get the full backstage experience.
- Watch a live broadcast of Sports Talk with Clint Wheeldon from 10am to 11am.
The day is free, fun and open to everyone. You do need to reserve a spot and are asked to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session for security checks, and avoid bringing big bags because they’ll need to be cloaked.
