ABC702 Overrun by Squares

ABC 702’s Ultimo foyer was packed to capacity last Friday, with more than 1000 people knitting quilt squares for the needy.

There were so many knitters that the ABC had to open one of its tv studios and the Eugene Goosens Hall to accommodate them.

Angela Catterns instigated the ‘knit in’ last year and it seems it is so popular it might become an annual event.

Manager, Roger Summerill, has told radioinfo: “It’s so popular we might have to keep doing it every year. There were mums, grandmas and school kids here from 5.30 this morning to be part of this event.”
