Husband and wife win two TR FM and Gold 1242 comps. 

Last Saturday 16th June TR FM and Gold 1242 culminated 60 days of promotional activity with the final draw for their 50K Countdown Promotion.
Listeners had the chance to enter at a variety of businesses across Gippsland and The Valley, and each morning one person had to make a choice: take $500 prize money, or get into the exclusive draw that would take place at the end of the promotion with the remaining prize pool.

On Saturday that prize pool sat at $35,500; enough money to change someone’s life.

Popular choices for how the money would be spent included holidays, Harley Davidsons and weddings. The 31 entrants gathered in the station foyer and right on 11am, called up one by one to randomly pick an envelope.

Each of those envelopes contained a code, and one code would open the lock containing the key to the safe. Richard from Bairnsdale got to have his turn, and much to his surprise, his code opened the lock!

After a brief moment of shock Richard yelled “Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!” The prize money will go towards Richard’s first home deposit. 

And, just over 12 months ago, Richard’s wife was the major winner of the TR FM and Gold 1242 Promotion for The Car or The Cash, winning a brand new Toyota. Could this be Gippsland’s luckiest family?
