Dutch radio dj breaks world record

Michiel Antonius Adrianus Beelen, better known as Giel Beelen, (pictured) is a Dutch radio-dj who presents the breakfast show Giel! at 3FM from Monday till Friday between 6:00 and 10:00 am.
 
He’s now broken the record for being continuously on-air and goes into the Guinness Book of Records.
 
At 05.00 hours Beelen had been broadcasting his radio show on 3FM the Dutch pop-rock station, for 191 hours, one hour longer than previous record holder, the Belgian Lennart Creel.
 
He then went for another hour clocking up a total of 196 hours
