I recently quit, because I'm tired of sales focussed stations and conservative attitudes. I'm tired of stations that block things like Facebook, MySpace and YouTube, all an integral part of todays media, tired of wasting time not learning new skills and being paid less at new jobs for doing more.
Pretty sure I'm not terrible at what I do, and seem to hear the same sentiments from a lot of people in the industry.
Wake up, bosses. Keep treating us all so expendably and keep paying us a pittance, with no room for creativity and we'll get outta here. One day you'll learn, when the stations sound rubbish and everybody in the town treats them as a laughing stock, prefering their iPods to boring announcers, annoying ads and poor, boring music selection.
