TAREE radio station 2BOB 104.7FM has provided a musical backdrop and an alternative voice in the Manning Valley for more than a quarter of a century, and during this month’s Subscriber Drive, the station is airing a commemorative history as a tribute to the hundreds of people, mainly volunteers, who have helped make 2BOB one of Australia’s most successful community broadcasters. The four-part history has been prepared by 2BOB Midday Magazine presenter Carol Lucas, who dedicated months to the project, sorting through untold hours of old reel-to-reel tapes of programs to compile each half-hour segment.
