UNIONS overseeing redundancies at the ABC have told parliament it is a “contrived” process to rid the ABC of highly paid, experienced staff, reports Michael Bodey. The MEAA and CPSU also questioned why the ABC was forcing redundancies when all other media organisations had used voluntary redundancy programs. “The ABC is unique in the way it’s approaching this process,” said Paul Murphy, media director of the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance.
