I’M relieved that I am not alone in becoming disillusioned with the ABC (“We’re not sinking, insists ABC’’, 22/1). Until a couple of years ago, my radio had been happily fixed on ABC local for more than 40 years and the TV was switched from ABC only under extreme pressure from family. But I now put up with commercial radio and its ads in preference to announcers with schoolgirl voices who seem preoccupied with such weighty matters as the latest music. They generally have not the faintest idea about important local issues.
