RADIO broadcasters are expected to lobby the federal government to amend legislation so that internet simulcasts of radio programs are counted as a "broadcast" for copyright purposes. As radioinfo reported last week, the issue came to a head two weeks ago when regional operator Grant Broadcasters pulled its internet simulcast services following a court ruling that ended a four-year legal battle between artists and record companies on one side, and radio industry group Commercial Radio Australia on the other, in favour of the record companies.
