Clear Channel will exit US Twin Ports market

A group of Duluth radio stations is set to change hands for the third time in five years. Clear Channel Radio has filed U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission documents indicating it will sell its stations in Duluth and other small- to mid-sized markets.

The company announced its divestment strategy in November, the same time its parent company, the publicly held Clear Channel Communications, Inc., agreed to an $18.7-billion buyout by a private consortium. Regardless of whether the sale goes through, the company said the planned divestments will proceed.
