The Australian’s ‘Strewth’ column reports: "Mark Latham’s Minister for Hugs, Lindsay Tanner, is determined to punish the Parrot over cash for comment deals. However, the Opposition spokesman for community relations and communications let slip yesterday another reason why he doesn’t like 2GB’s Alan Jones – he never invites him on his radio program. "I don’t think it’s any coincidence that in the two and a half years I’ve been shadow Minister for Communications, I’ve been on every radio program across the country … with one glaring exception – not once on Alan Jones about Telstra," Tanner raged on Channel 10’s Meet The Press. "Alan Jones is basically a puffed-up, two-bit bully. He may intimidate toadies like Professor [David] Flint and [federal minister] Danna Vale. He might frighten the PM but he certainly doesn’t frighten me."
