Does the Hottest 100 have a gender problem, or do you?

On Sunday night my Twitter feed was jammed with expressions of mourning, snark and withering put-downs all attached to hashtag Hottest100. triple j was counting down its Hottest 100 songs from the last 20 years and people were pissed off.
