After 16 years on air, Lithgow’s community radio station EZYFM officially had its last broadcast on Monday, October 14, closing the doors due to a lack of volunteers.
With only 4 volunteers running the station, local Wes Anderson, says they had to make the difficult decision not to renew its broadcasting licence.
"I can’t say I’m happy about the decision, I’m very sad it’s happened, but you have to be realistic; for us to continue we needed volunteers and we just weren’t getting them," Mr Anderson said.
