Speaking at a Melbourne Press Club event, Fairfax boss Greg Hywood reaffirmed the company’s commitment to radio, and flagged interest in investments in education, travel, health and lifestyle. Fairfax stations include "shining star" 3AW and 2UE. The company had previously held talks about a radio merger with Macquarie Radio Network. But Mr Hywood said: "We are getting it [radio] right. It won’t happen overnight. We are here for the long road."
