It was "legally unreasonable" to seek and issue a search warrant authorising the Australian Federal Police raid on the ABC’s Sydney headquarters and the warrant was "excessively broad", the Federal Court has heard as the national broadcaster fights to set aside the warrant.
The ABC is challenging the validity of the search warrant in the Federal Court and is seeking the return of documents seized by the AFP during the June 5 raid.
