Ferrari’s new $550,000 supercar without a radio

Ferrari Australasia is so convinced by the performance credentials of its new 458 Speciale that its $550,000 price tag doesn’t include a radio or entertainment system. “For this particular car, we wanted to strip out all of the unnecessary elements in entertainment because the car is the entertainment and the noise of the car is of course the music,” trumpeted Ferrari Australasia president Herbert Appleroth. “It’s not usual to scrap the radio in a normal Ferrari but that’s what the factory has decided to do. Infotainment is an option though, so if customers did want that of course they could purchase it.”
