Former NZ broadcaster Philip Sherry, has died

New Zealand broadcaster, Philip Sherry, has died after a short illness aged 87, a statement from his family on Sunday night revealed.
Former colleagues refer to Sherry as one of New Zealand’s finest broadcasters, who spent decades as a newsreader in both television and radio news, presenting bulletins for NZBC and TVNZ and he was the first newsreader on TV3 when it launched in 1989.
