Legendary NZ broadcaster Sir Paul Holmes has prostate cancer and is receiving medical treatment. His wife Lady Deborah Holmes and his brother Ken Holmes said in a statement that the veteran broadcaster was receiving medical treatment from the team at the hospital and "other supporting organisations". Sir Paul was taken to hospital less than a week after being knighted in ceremony at his Hawke’s Bay lodge by Governor-General Sir Jerry Mateparae. The investiture was brought forward at his family’s request because of Sir Paul’s failing health.
