Shock jock Howard Sattler, who was dismissed by Radio 6PR over his controversial interview with Julia Gillard last year, has launched defamation proceedings against the Perth station. In a writ lodged in the Supreme Court in Perth, lawyers representing Mr Sattler have claimed unquantified damages due to the station “unlawfully terminating” his employment. The legal action accompanies a separate action where Mr Sattler is alleging unfair dismissal.
