Jamie Dunn made a lot of money from Agro, but there’s not much left. At first, Agro was not a very profitable puppet. “I kept a memo from my boss back in the day, saying ‘I’d like to give Jamie a pay rise,’ and they took it from $57 a week to $69,” Dunn said. But when Christopher Skase took over Channel 7, Dunn sensed an opportunity for a big payday. “I didn’t take a pay rise. I settled for the merchandising rights for Agro, and that sounds like a clever move but he wasn’t selling anything back then. He didn’t even have a T-shirt.”
