NEW laws covering reportage of security and terror matters are “repugnant”, investigative journalist Kate McClymont has declared in the annual Andrew Olle Media Lecture. McClymont said it was a “great concern” that the law that could jail journalists for up to 10 years for revealing intelligence operations did not include a “public interest” exemption.
