Les Miserables: The killing of the ABC

ABC Alumni’s Quentin Dempster says the recent departure of many of the ABC’s most experienced journalists, producers and presenters has immiserated the public broadcaster, and this is not the end of the decline. 
 
Ongoing defunding is making it increasingly difficult for the ABC to meet its Charter obligations and this, together with radical change as a result of the digital revolution, raises serious questions about the future of flagship programming and even the world-renowned Radio National.
