MACQUARIE Radio Network chairman Russell Tate has talked up the commercial benefits of a potential merger with Fairfax Radio but indicated the two companies were no closer to reaching agreement on a deal. Mr Tate’s comments mark the first time a Macquarie executive has publicly acknowledged that the two media companies have recently discussed combining their talkback radio networks.
