Macquarie Radio Network is fuming at the latest rulings against its 2GB broadcaster Alan Jones by the broadcast regulator, and will this week decide if it will appeal the two findings that Jones breached broadcast accuracy obligations. The ruling on the Jones matter was just the latest in a series of "strikes" against 2GB’s licensee, Harbour Radio, in recent times. Media understands a number of key executives at MRN, including managing director Rob Loewenthal, are incensed by the ruling, now seeing it as part of a campaign by the Australian Communications and Media Authority against the group.
