Prank call adds to Southern Cross profit dip

Southern Cross Austereo has posted a 52 per cent fall in first-half net profit but believes the worst is behind it following a bigger investment in content and positive signs in the advertising market.  The regional television and radio group, which is home to shock jock Kyle Sandilands, reported a profit after tax of $45.1 million in the six months to December 31, down from $94m in the previous corresponding period.
