Switching off the analogue signal will take longer in radio than television because of technical challenges and a lack of demand for the spectrum, according to the regulator. The Australian reports Giles Tanner at the Broadcasting Summit saying television would convert fully to digital broadcasting by the end of 2013 but the situation in radio was less urgent.
