XM Satellite Radio Holdings said Wednesday that it added more than 285,000 net subscribers in the third quarter, a pace it said is consistent with its forecast for full-year subscriber numbers. Rival Sirius Satellite Radio said it added more than 441,100 net new subscribers in the quarter, a 23% rise from a year ago.
