UK regulator fines radio group £1.1m for rigged phone contest

GCap Media, the UK’s largest commercial radio group, was hit with a £1.1m fine yesterday, by far the largest in radio history, following an investigation into a phone-in programme broadcast on 30 of its One Network stations.
