Voice of America, affiliates in turmoil as controversial Trump pick takes over, clears house

The Voice of America and other U.S. government-funded media outlets have been hit by waves of turmoil, uncertainty, and attacks after President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the U.S. Agency for Global Media, which oversees them, started his job this month. Attorney General for alleged self-dealing, was confirmed by the Senate earlier this month to lead the agency which runs VOA, Radio Free Asia, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and other outlets.
