The ABC’s reporter based in Wagga Wagga, Moira Shields, lived through the floods of 1974, and says the latest surge is much worse. She says she’s never seen central Wagga evacuated ahead of an expected flood peak, and used her earlier experience to help her deal with the latest crisis.
