What happened to the ‘other’ Tonsils?

Perhaps it was the hoo-ha over the retirement of the Golden Tonsils, John Laws, that did it: Laws once called Banks the "best voice on Australian radio". But it gives pause for thought: whatever happened to those golden Banks tonsils anyhow?
