AAP reports that Kyle Sandilands turned white when he learned he’d have to insult comedian Magda Szubanski on stage, five years after his comments about her weight got him taken off the air. The KIIS FM shock jock appears as the magic mirror in pre-recorded segments for an upcoming stage production of Snow White.
But he says he went white, started shaking and had to take a break in the recording booth when he learned Magda Szubanski was playing the Wicked Queen. "I didn’t know anything about who was in it," Sandilands explained. "I showed up to do the recording, and I’m saying all these awful, nasty things, and then I said, who is actually playing the Queen?"
When the reply came that Szubanski was playing the part, Sandilands said his stomach dropped. "My entire colour changed. It drained out of my body," he said. "Then I started to shake." Snow White Winter Family Musical opens at the State Theatre in Sydney in July.
