ABC Executive Producer True Crime (Podcast)

This is a unique and rare opportunity for an experienced Executive Producer to manage and lead teams of podcast content makers to produce high-quality, original, digital-first true crime podcasts.

Reporting to the Manager, Podcasts you will identify and develop new content ideas, formats and talent, including project managing all aspects of podcast production from inception to publishing. You’ll provide editorial oversight of assigned productions, ensuring that the storytelling is aligned with the division’s strategic goals. You’ll lead and support teams to ensure that they are motivated and engaged, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation within the team.

You have an interest in true crime and a strong understanding of podcast audiences and trends, including international podcast distribution trends and digital strategies. You’ll bring your creative approach to impactful narrative program-making for a target audience, in all aspects of audio content making, including story structure, high-level script writing and audio editing skills. You possess excellent project management skills, and highly advanced communication skills, enabling you to provide effective feedback to the team you lead and to manage internal stakeholders across the organisation.
