The opportunity

Are you a reporter or broadcaster looking to launch your career on National Television and Radio? A rare opportunity exists to join the Australian Traffic Network (ATN) team as a full-time Traffic Reporter based in Melbourne.

About the role

As a Traffic Reporter, you will join our thriving, fast-paced team at ATN in Melbourne, broadcasting live traffic reports from the ATN traffic chopper and in-studio that will air across major television networks and commercial radio stations across both metropolitan and regional areas.

As an ATN Traffic Reporter you will:

  • Report live traffic updates on both television and radio
  • Be confident and capable of presenting from an aircraft as well as in-studio
  • Work a split shift Monday to Friday
  • Be able to work Mornings (5 am – 9 am) and Afternoons (3 pm to 7 pm)

Experience and skills you will need

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ previous broadcasting, presenting or reporting experience
  • Basic audio recording and editing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and broadcast accuracy
  • A vibrant personality that shines on camera
  • Clear and articulate verbal communication skills
  • Some basic knowledge of Melbourne roads
  • An enthusiastic and engaging personality
  • Willingness to learn on the job and be part of a fun, dynamic and inclusive culture
