We have a rare opportunity available for a dynamic leader to head up our Canberra Broadcast Technology Team.

The Broadcast Technology Lead is a key member of the amazing Canberra Leadership Team and provides leadership and takes on management accountability for all Canberra Broadcast Technologies and Operations while working with the Broadcast Technology Manager NSW/ACT.

About The Role:
  • Ensure the effective functioning of broadcast and streaming equipment, both within studios as a priority, and production environments, by responding to and resolving any technical malfunctions or operator issues
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule for broadcast and technical equipment is adhered to, in accordance with quality standards, policy and priorities
  • Ensure any additions or changes to infrastructure are documented clearly and accurately to standard
  • In collaboration with the Broadcast Technology Leadership team, develop and implement a national technology strategy covering all of ARN’s broadcast ecosystem
  • Provide strategic updates / reports to the Functional Heads on station issues and service providers

  • Track record of project delivery (budget and time)
  • RF/Audio transmission experience or understanding
  • Playout systems
  • Broadcast technologies
  • Business transformation and operational excellence
  • Risk assessment and continuous improvement
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills working with diverse stakeholders
